“When a child is doing something she’s passionately interested in, she grows like a tree – in all directions, this is how a child learns, how children grow.”
We follow a nature-based curriculum to engage the eagerness of the children to learn about their environment and the world around them.

“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.”
Antione de Saint-Exupery
Imagine a school where nurturing and developing a child’s emotional stability and security is as important as fostering their academic success.
Where children learn in a way suited to them, enabling a much deeper, more authentic experience.
Where trees replace walls.
Where grass and wildflowers replace hard chairs.
Where daily experience is also a teacher, and the sky above is the reception of endless ideas and opportunities.
International Primary Curriculum
Alma Forest Primary is an opportunity to learn and grow in nature. Following an accredited international curriculum used by almost 1,300 schools in over 63 countries (34 of which are in Spain) and which aligns with our ethos supporting learning through hands-on experiences promoting the life skills of creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, decision making and emotional intelligence. It provides opportunities for global knowledge, nurturing a love of learning through a combination of academic, personal and international learning experiences. As an accredited institution, Spanish lessons of language and social sciences will also be included in the curriculum.
Personalised and Project-Based Learning
Our teaching is designed to engage and inspire students according to how they personally learn best and delivers standard curriculum-based lessons by way of projects instead of subjects. This inquiry-based method allows learners to find relevance and understanding of core topics through personalised and nature-based learning, solving authentic problems. This approach promotes physical, social, cognitive and life skills, whilst integrating academic knowledge and experiential application
A tenet of Alma Forest is to engage the mind, body and soul, with an inherent benefit of learning outdoors being that the body is actively engaged all day, key to our children ́s development. However, we also believe in organised/team sports, and several partnerships in this regard are being explored. To complement the mind and soul, yoga and meditation form part of our daily school experience.
